This page is to help our new students with information and preparatory work for the summer.
As a college preparatory school, World View High School wants to ensure that we take every opportunity for student growth.
The following pages will help you complete the summer assignments that are in your cohort Google Classroom that will count towards your grades in the fall.

As part of our commitment to ensuring a smooth transition for new students, we are holding a Mandatory New Student Orientation on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025.
During the orientation, students will receive the following:
Class schedule, Omni Card, Student ID, free uniform polo shirt , information about their lockers, school supplies and DOE accounts for students and parents.
Each student has their own scheduled appointment for the orientation which should be received in the mail.
Our primary goals for this orientation are:
If you have any questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact our office at: 718-601-0391 or email Mrs. Sime at gsime@schools.nyc.gov
The regular uniform consists of a white WVHS polo shirt and black pants/skirts. The physical education uniform consists of a purple WVHS gym shirt, black gym shorts or sweatpants. All new students will receive one free polo shirt during new student orientation.
We are flexible and are allowing students to wear black jeans/pants. The following items are not acceptable uniform apparel:
Although black jeans are allowed, most fade within a few washes to gray, so consider buying black pants from a uniform store as these tend to be more durable.

Every New York City public school student, including World View High School students, has an NYCPS account. It is created automatically when you enroll in school. Your NYCPS account stays the same the entire time you are in school, and with it you can access all NYCPS technology platforms. Platforms include:
Getting Started
Your school must give you your username and password for your @nycstudents.net account. Once you have these, you can start signing into NYCPS applications. The best way to start using your NYCPS account is to sign in to TeachHub. From here, you can access all NYCPS applications with one click, and you only need to sign in once.
Resetting Your Password
1. Reset it yourself through the Student Self-Service tool.
2. Ask your parent or guardian to reset it through NYCSA.
3. Ask your school to reset your password for you.
PINs
To create a PIN:
Please note that PINs are optional for your NYCPS account. However, if you do not create a PIN, you will not be able to use the self-service tool to reset your password. If you feel like it would be hard to remember your PIN, or you are the parent of a young student, we recommend resetting your password through NYCSA.
Security Questions
Like a PIN, security questions are, by default, not set up. You must set them up.
