World View High School’s

Mission is to ensure that all students receive a rigorous project-based academic experience that will prepare them for college, career, and exemplary citizenship. As a school that values exemplary citizenship, World View is aiming to cultivate well-rounded students who have a worldly and vast perspective by practicing and exposing students to multicultural experiences first-hand. By allowing them to understand global issues and becoming more mindful of their place and role in the world and by witnessing how others live can make our students more compassionate, all the while expanding their horizons. This hands-on learning helps students form long lasting cultural connections by allowing them to practice and improve the use of the Spanish language via a cultural experience.

Spain

The Spain trip is a cultural trip as well as an academically enriching experience. Not only will students have the opportunity to travel to another country and indulge in their culture, language, and food, but students will also get the chance to explore historical sites and incorporate it into the learning of global history. Real learning is experiential trips are an important component of the educational process. The exposure to a new country and new culture will allow students to see, experience, and understand the world beyond their own borders.

Canada

This Canada trip is not only academically enriching, but also cultural, as students will be visiting the province of Québec, to the French Canadian cities of Québec and Montréal. Not only will students have the opportunity to travel to another country and indulge in their culture, language, and food, but will also explore historical sites and incorporate their learning into their knowledge of global history. On-site learning is an important component of the educational process. Exposure to a new country, language, and culture will allow students to see, experience and understand the world beyond the classroom.

Hawai’i

During this trip, students are given the opportunity to explore Hawaii’s capital of Honolulu! They will take in breathtaking views of turquoise waters after hiking Diamond Head, watch the surfers on Waimea Bay, visit the Polynesian Cultural Center, and end the trip with a traditional luau.

Italy & Greece

The Italy & Greece trip is a cultural and academically enriching experience that will allow students to explore two of the world’s most influential civilizations. Students will experience the countries’ rich history, culture, food, art, and traditions while visiting significant historical landmarks.

Through experiential learning, students will connect what they learn in the classroom to real-world experiences, gaining a deeper understanding of the history and cultures that shaped the modern world. This journey will broaden their perspectives and allow them to experience the world beyond their own borders.

Portugal & Spain

This trip allows students to embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Iberian Peninsula, exploring Spain and Portugal’s rich history, art, and culture. Begin in Madrid with iconic landmarks and an excursion to the medieval city of Toledo. Continue to Salamanca, where the centuries-old university and stunning cathedrals capture Spain’s golden age. Cross into Portugal to discover Porto’s riverside charm and the traditions of Guimarães before traveling south to Lisbon. From Gothic palaces and tiled façades to fado music and coastal views, this educational adventure offers students an inspiring look at Iberia’s past and present.

Japan

This Japan trip gives students the opportunity to explore the modern yet traditional world of Japan. For example, a visit to the sacred Sensoji Temple balances the buzz of high-tech Tokyo. Soak up views of Mount Fuji, an ancient castle and colorful markets while en route to the giant Todai-ji Buddha and countless Kyoto temples. The trip can either end in Osaka or a solemn but inspirational stop in Hiroshima.
